Not far from Tian an Men, the five buildings composing this shopping and business centre stretch along Beijing’s central axis and transform its skyline for a kilometre; their signature shape imitating the course of nearby river Liangshui. Power consumption is reduced thanks to the building’s north-south orientation, heat pumps and photovoltaic modules.
